Garage Conversions Glasgow designs and builds garage conversions. The same Glasgow-based team surveys the garage, prepares the drawings, handles the warrant paperwork and carries out the building work. We do not operate as a referral service, an introduction service or a quote-matching platform, and we do not pass your enquiry to other contractors.

• —The survey is free and carries no obligation on either side.
• —Every quote is written and itemised, so you can see what each element of the work costs.
• —A quote is specific to the property surveyed. It is not transferable to another property, another garage or another owner.
• —A quote reflects the condition of the garage at the time of the survey. Where the work uncovers a condition that was not visible at survey — for example a structural or drainage defect behind a finish — we set out the cost of addressing it in writing before proceeding.
• —Work begins once you accept the quote in writing.

We prepare the building warrant application and submit it on your behalf, including the drawings the council requires. Responsibility for holding a valid warrant and completion certificate for the property rests with the property owner. That is a legal duty on the owner and it cannot be transferred to a contractor. Payments are staged against completed work, not taken up front. The stages and the way they map to progress on site are set out in the garage conversion cost guide. Each stage is confirmed in the written quote before work starts, so you know what falls due and when.

Our workmanship is guaranteed in writing on completion. The written guarantee is issued with the final paperwork and states what it covers and for how long. Manufacturer guarantees on materials and appliances — insulation, glazing, heating and similar — are passed to you alongside it.

We are liable for the work we carry out and for loss caused by our negligence. We are not liable for pre-existing defects in the property that fall outside the scope of the quoted work, for work carried out by others, for delay caused by council decision times, material supply or weather, or for indirect loss such as lost income. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing in them removes your statutory consumer rights.
